For the second year running the PAAA was represented at Autosport International, Europe’s biggest dedicated motorsport and performance exhibition that takes place each year at Birmingham’s NEC. The dedicated stand was situated in the Engineering Hall and on the boundary of the Performance Tuning Hall – so right in the heart of the 21 companies represented by the association at the show.

 

The stand was manned by members of the PAAA during the two days of the Engineering exhibition. Those on duty for the association reported a high footfall and consequently, fielded an encouraging number of enquiries that resulted in four new members (two full and two associate) at the show and another two after it – additions that bring the total number of members to a nice round 50.

 

In the evening following a busy first day, the PAAA held its inaugural post Thursday social event. During the day over 100 golden Willy Wonker–style tickets were handed out to members, potential members and guests - and nearly everyone turned up!

Over half of the World Bar in the Genting Resorts World complex was taken up by the invitees and those attending reported they had enjoyed the hour-plus experience. Because of the excellent feedback, the PAAA is planning to make this an annual occasion.
