Members Dinner & Social Evening

Members who attended our recent meeting, dinner and social event at the delightful Whittlebury Hall Hotel near Towcester, enjoyed an entertaining evening comprising good food and good fellowship.

Following drinks in the bar, the 40 attending guests took their seats in the atmospheric Courtyard Restaurant for an excellent – and seemingly never ending - hot buffet. The meal was followed by guest speaker Professor Peter Stevens, who delivered a riveting talk about his career designing sports cars and race cars for Jaguar, BMW, Lotus, Lamborghini, Renault, Rover and McLaren.

Guests were then provided with an important update about the Autosport show by Event Director Ben Whibley. Then, as things were running a little later than anticipated, it was decided the scheduled update on the association’s recent activity would be communicated at a later date.

It was unanimously agreed by all who attended that the meeting was an enjoyable and worthwhile occasion that should be held annually, albeit next time, on a date that does not clash with the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Consequently, members who couldn’t make it this time would have the opportunity to attend – in which case, a bigger room will be required!
